Bevan's Run finally makes the Guardian

I see Bevan’s Run has finally made it into the Guardian.

They posted a story on Sunday night, after the six-day run was over. (That’s two days after I asked “Why hasn’t Bevan’s Run made the nationals?”)

I don’t understand why the Guardian’s love of live-blogging didn’t extend to this event, any more than I understand why they ran an archive picture of Nye Bevan with the story instead of a photo of the young, photogenic runners Drs Peedell and Wilson. But at least they covered it, while the rest of the nationals (as far as I can tell) ignored the story completely. I think the BBC ignored it too. I'd be very happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I don't think it even made an item on the BBC Oxford radio news.

(My photos of the event are on Flickr. So are several other people's photos.)

For what it's worth, the Oxford Mail did cover it: http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/9471965.NHS_reforms_protest_run_arrives_in_city/ (sorry if you already spotted this!).
